spacerThe 2021 recipient is Oliver Billingslea, of Montgomery, AL, for his digital sequence of 20 photos showing "The Development of the ADS Display Garden at the Montgomery Botanical Garden." The sequence features photos from the garden's inception in February 2019 through October 2020. As of June 21, 2021, the bed contains 85 cultivars, all of which are registrations by Region 14 hybridizers between the years 1956-2020. Numerous companion plants enhance the bed so that it is attractive throughout the year.

spacer In 1978 Sarah Sikes, of Luverne, AL, likely the most honored woman in AHS in terms of being recipient of all four of the Society’s major awards for both hybridizing and service, initiated the Region 14 Slide Sequence Award. Now called The Sarah Sikes Sequence Award, it is an engraved pewter bowl or tray, donated by ADS Region 14, and may be given annually for the best color sequence of events involving daylilies.
