Ida's Chili Con Carne
1 large can (28 oz) tomatoes
2 (19 oz) cans red kidney beans,lightly drained
1 can (5 1/2 oz) tomato paste
1 pound minced beef
1 large onion chopped
8 - 10 stalks of celery chopped
1/4 teaspoon each of salt and pepper
1 Tablespoon of dried chili, or to your taste!

Fry meat and onion together in dutch oven pot on top of stove, just until browned. Add balance of ingredients and stir well. Simmer on low heat ..... the longer the better! Limit however would be three hours.

P.S. Great with a fresh baguette and red wine.
