Andrée's Strawberry Tart
1 cup all purpose flour
pinch of salt
2 Tbsps sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 Tsps white vinegar
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsps flour
4 cups strawberries
1/3 cup red currant jelly
strawberries (reserved from above) to decorate

Preheat oven 400 degrees. Combine flour, salt and sugar. Work in butter with fingers, and add vinegar. Press mixture into bottom of 9 inch buttered pie plate, spreading it about an inch up the sides to make an edge.

Combine sugar, flour and strawberries and pour mixture into crust. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes to an hour, or until crust is golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool.

Decorate tart with strawberry halves and brush top with melted jelly.

Recipes serves 6-8 and may be doubled. It freezes well but should be frozen before adding fresh strawberries and glaze. You can also substitute any fruit in season. Enjoy!
