Date: Oct. 6, 2020 Submitted by: Charlie Harper, Ohio - Email: charlesaharper@aol.comDaylily: This little corner of the garden really put on a show this year. F.Smith's 'DALE HENSLEY' (front left), Agin's 'LINDA BECK' (center) G.Pierce's 'RED BLOODED' (top center) and Morss's 'JUST LIKE CANDY' (top right). 'Linda Beck' has developed quite a clump, showing a lot of vigor for a southern plant.

There is a zone in my garden where the amount of sunlight is just right for both to coexist happily. Emmerich's 'CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS' shares space with 'Charlie's Angels' (just a coincidence, I assure you!).

Date: Oct. 6, 2020 Submitted by: Charlie Harper, Ohio - Email: charlesaharper@aol.comDaylily: Dan Bachman's 'THE CHILI MAN' continues to strut it's stuff for me. If I were a hybridizer, I'd be doing a lot of pollen dabbing onto it and from it. It is tall and sturdy with excellent branching/bud count. An undiscovered treasure? Judy Davisson's 'SULTRY GIRLS,' a star in its own right, looks rather small (it's not!) by comparison.

Date: August 29, 2020 Submitted by: Anna Carlson,New York - Email: anna@ravencroftcottage.comDaylily: I'd like to share, with the Robins, one of my best and most favorite seedlings this year, RAV 17-008. It's out of my Lonesome Soldier X (Maddox Sdlg x Some Sweet Day). I can't say enough about the vigor of this plant, and the gorgeous bloom on top. This morning it presented me with 5, fully opened blooms on 1 scape, and 2 on another. I couldn't grab the camera fast enough! Oh, and the color holds well in the rain too! It's their maiden bloom season, and they're showing me some nice stuff! The 1st one is a definite keeper for further evaluation. It's already showing me a very nice plant beneath that eyeliner pattern bloom. The cross for all 3 is Stardust Lady X (Backyard Friends x Violet Victory).

The parentage is from using three of my introductions (( Tiger Whiskers x Pointer Sisters)X Dancing With Ellen). Maybe not a full double but it has many extra petaloids.
None of the DLs used have a background with doubles in them (that I have found). (Don's Website is: http://www.bluehillcountrygarden.com)

Faulkner gave me about 10 years ago. The bloom is about 4" and scapes about 20". It's an early bloomer but this year has been sending up a lot of reblooming scapes. I love it! So dainty looking.
